DBI is committed to achieving a safety-first culture in everything that we do and consequently bring to life our Safety Vision – Every person finishes work safe and well.

DBI maintains a well-documented and effective work health and safety (WHS) system and is committed to continuous improvement. The safety of our people, our contractors and surrounding communities is a key priority. We believe in the principle that all accidents are preventable and we foster a culture of shared responsibility for the safety of workers themselves as well as those around them.

The Group has established a comprehensive set of leading indicators that have been developed to reflect the proactive actions that the Group takes to positively impact safety culture and safety outcomes at DBT. The Group reports on 2 lagging indicators: Serious Injuries or Illnesses and High Potential Incidents (HPI).
